do the weight's go up and down on a clock with a quart's movement or are they fixed?
Fixed - but a genuine cuckoo clock wouldn't have a quartz 'movement'. While we're on the subject, cuckoo clocks originated in the Schwarzwald (Black Forest), which is in Germany, NOT Switzerland - and yes, I am shouting.
