Why isn't my pendulum clock chiming in time?
OK so i have a grandfather clock.. it is from 1789 but has had repairs and gets cleaned inside every year but from today it's being chiming an hour behind as in it chimes 12 times at 1 o clock and once at 2 etc it has only started doing this today.. it has a pendulum and weights and i was wondering if there was anyway to adjust it to stop it doing this?

If you think this is a permanent problem, there is an easy fix.
Carefully remove both hands...........replace hands at one hour 'back'
Hands and chimes are now in synch.
