How do you change the mechanism of a clock or watch?
In the future soon, I want to see what it'd be like if my watch or clock could complete 24 hours in a few seconds less, like how the days were back in 100,000 BC or see what the seconds, minutes, and hours would be like if there were 365.25 days in a year or 365.2425 days in a year, or even 365.24 days or 365 days in a year. Faster for the ones above 365.2422 days a year and slower for the ones below 365.2422 days a year. The year is about 365.2421875 days when you factor that for a full 128 years of approximately 46751 days but I've been looking up mechanism and how can I make this occur?
there are a couple things.
1) just because you make the clock hands move quicker, won't change your perception of time. Not any more than if you use a yard stick to measure something, it's bigger than if you use a 12" ruler.
2) if you use an old wind up clock, with a balance wheel, that has an adjustment for the spring, by messing with the lever, you can change the period of the balance wheel, and the speed of the clock. Of course, you want to use an old clock, because you'll never be able to get it right again.
