I own a toyota camry 1987, in need of repair, my Q is would you spend £1400 to repair it?
The car, other than its in need of repair, is indeed in immaculate condition despite its age, theres sentimental value involved too, it was my late fathers car. It burns oil at high speed, and the head gasket is now in need of change. Its got 45,000 genuine miles on the clock, but its failing fast. My question is to you guys, do I spend the money on repair, or do I buy another car?
Thats not much mileage for a Toyota, has it been thrashed? Do not throw good money away, scrap it for spares and sell them. Use your money as deposit on decent car, these older cars are having trouble getting through the MOT because of the strict emission tests.Forget sentimental, that will not increase your bank account.
