Covering paneled bedroom walls with beveled squares 2'x2'?
I saw an interior design where 2x2 beveled wooden squares were used to cover paneled walls but no mention was made as to what wood product was used or how they were installed over the paneling. They are painted afterwards. This particular design was used for an art deco style room which I am trying to achieve. Any other suggestions for walls? The paneling is attached directly to the sheet rock. The room is square with a normal 8' ceiling, if that has any bearing on the questions.
Youngatheart, Try using "Liquidnail" products. Comes in a small or large tube like caulking. But you might have to also use some small finish nails in all the corners of the 2'x2' panels, just to hold them until the Liquidnail drys in a 24 hour period. Drive the finish nails in a +or- 45 degree angle on the corners, that way the nails pinch the panels to the wall. Work your way from the floor to the ceiling. Good Luck !
