porcelain marks?
I have a set of salt and pepper shakers that are about 6 inches tall each. They are handpainted and look like rs german pieces but the only mark on the bottom is a tiny 78 on each piece.Can anyone give me any idea of what they might be. The picture is floral and on both sides of the salt and pepper shakers in cool colors, greens and blues.Very beautiful pieces but cannot identify...Thank you
Without a pic no one is going to correctly id the items. If RS Prussis they are likly a "small part" of an entire dinner service....thus the lack of a mark. But we both just guessing and a pic is the key....NOT "cool colors, greens and blues"...that tells nothing as does the tiny 78.
Just enjoy them...they're probably about worthless as unmarked.
