I doubt that Bormann was a spy. On the one hand, the Nazis had considerable success on the day the spy networks as the Soviet Red Orchestra. I think they found Bormann. And if he had been working for the Soviets, he would have defected to them before the last days in the bunker. The war was already won, so for the Soviets, his work was almost finished, then why stay? And why did he commit suicide rather than engaging with Soviet troops?
