Large Executive
How do you write a mean letter, scolding someone for speaking negatively about your company to a large group?
My boss asked me to write a letter from the top executive in our company to a user of our business, scolding him for spreading untrue rumors about issues in the company to a large group of other users.
I'm a college student, majoring in Professional Writing, yet have never had to create a 'mean' letter.
HELP!
I don't think you want to create a mean letter. The objective here is not to piss the guy off. You want to write a letter showing this guy the errors of his ways, perhaps getting him to "see the light". Start by saying you disagree with what he said and point out why. Then point out all the reasons your company is not like the company he depicted in his talk. Finally conclude with any third party sources backing up your story. Build up - do not tear down.
