Quartz Motor Parts
What's your opinion on this new technology: Total Quartz Ineo MC3 5W30 10K (Motor Oil)?
I have a friend that introduced me to father who is a Parts distributor for Mercedes Benz (on the side) and a Mechanic for them as well. He told me about the Synthetic Oil Mentioned above...and advise I can go 10,000 to 12,000 depending on how I drive.
I thought this is brilliant..but wanted to get as much feed back as possible. I've read past questions similar to this, but the difference is the type of oil mentioned.
I'll put as much info on the oil as possible:
Total Quartz INEO MC3
5W30
(New Generation, low saps (low sulphated ash, phosphorous and sulphur) Highly recommended for cars fitted with DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and other post treatment systems)
(Do you think I need a special filter for this oil?) Thanks in advance.
My car? Ford Escape 04 70k miles.. changed oil every 3 4k at the dealer.
My package expired.. have been using Manufactures suggested oil... and wondered about this new one. Thanks again.
I have two cars on extreme sides of the spectrum. A 2004 Chevy Cavalier which I don't worry too much about what oil I put in it. And a 2005 Porsche 911S for which Porsche strongly recommends synthetic oil Mobile 1. So that's what I use. They say that the Porsche can go 20,000 miles without an oil change. I am not testing that.
