Clock Glow
Ford Fiesta Encore 1998 red light stays on?
There is a clock in the middle of the dashboard for telling the time, and just right of the digital display is a small triangle light which seems to be glowing red all the time. It is a low level glow. When I lock the car it pulsates brightly (alarm activation).
Is it supposed to glow permanently though?
No its not supposed to permanently "glow", sounds like you may have a bad earth connection somewhere and whatever it is is earthing out through the immobiliser circuit.
You should let your local mechanic or auto electrician check it out soon, it'll probably only be a minor repair but better to get it seen to sooner rather than later as it may end up affecting the immobiliser/electrics.

EDIT: The small triangle being referred to here is NOT the hazard warning lights. It is a small triangle (2-3mm) LED in the centre of the dash clocks. It is for the immobiliser and should only flash when recognising the key or to show the status of the immobiliser system. It should not be glowing permanently.
