Is it legal in CA to make a policy that says workers can only take their break in the office or parking lot?
I'm not quite sure it's legal, so I want to see if any of you know the laws before I make the announcement. We're not supposed to leave the office, or possibly the parking lot in front of the office, on our breaks. I thought your boss couldn't tell you where you could or could not go when you were not on the clock. It doesn't matter to me either way, I just need an answer.
