Looking to get two new lenses for Canon Rebel T1i?
I need a zoom lens (something that goes to around 200mm) and a good fast lens (f1.4 or faster) with a medium focal length (can be fixed or zoom). The fast lens is more important - if you can suggest a really great one I might even use all my budget on that and forego the zoom lens altogether.
I was about to put down $700 for the Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.4 but I found out the darn thing is made in Japan and not Germany like the vintage Zeiss lenses I love, so figure if I want a lens made in Japan I'll just save money and get the Canon brand.
Why not get the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L? Tack sharp! and reasonably fast. Then pick up the Canon 50mm 1.4 for those "special" low light situations.
