What is the name for this type of new digital watch/clock?
A few years ago I saw a digital watch that only had little squares of different sizes, not numbers, and depending on which ones were blacked out you could tell what time it was, but it was coded in a way that most people couldn't tell the time just by looking at it unless they knew what the different squares meant. What is this kind called?
It is similar to a binary watch in appearance, but the method to read it isn't binary, it had more to do with the size/placement of the blocks indicating an increment of time and was quite simple once you knew what they represent.
Binary Watch
Looks like only one company makes them and I am not surprised. You have to be beyond Geek to get such a thing.
However, be aware that after you wear it for a few weeks and all your geek friends say "cool", the novelty will wear off and you will want to go back to a traditional watch - maybe sooner when you start being late for all your appointments. It is cool, but ugly and completely impractical.
